Welcome to Cashova! Your privacy and the security of your financial data are our top priorities. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our budget management and expenses tracking app.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and password. This data is encrypted locally on your device and securely stored in Firebase Realtime Database (RTDB). Your login credentials are never shared with any third parties.
Financial Data: Any financial information you provide—such as expenses, income, loans, and budget categories—is encrypted locally on your device. It is also securely backed up to Firebase RTDB using strict authorization access rules, meaning only you (and the database administrator) can access it. All data in transit between your device and Firebase is fully encrypted.
Cashova utilizes the Gemini API to provide advanced financial insights. The API may be used to:
Strict User Consent: We will never send your data to the Gemini API without your explicit permission. The first time you use the financial analysis, Cashova will display a consent request detailing exactly what information will be shared. Once you approve, your choice is remembered for future sessions, so you will not be asked again unless you reinstall the app or clear app data. No personally identifiable information (such as your email or username) is ever shared with Gemini. You have full control over whether this feature is used.
Google Translate API: When you use the app in Hebrew, Cashova uses the Google Translate API to translate AI-generated analysis and insights into Hebrew. The text sent for translation is the output from the Gemini API (e.g., financial advice text)—not your raw financial data such as account numbers or transaction details. This data is processed by Google in accordance with Google's privacy policy. The same user consent that applies to Gemini-based features also covers this translation step.
To help us improve Cashova and fix bugs, we may use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (currently not implemented). These tools collect anonymized usage data and crash reports (such as device type, iOS version, and the time of a crash). This information does not personally identify you and is strictly used to enhance app performance and stability.
You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time. You can easily do this directly within the Cashova app:
Navigate to the top-right corner of the app, tap the 3-dots menu, and select the option to delete your account. A prompt will appear confirming your choice. Proceeding will permanently delete your account and wipe all your financial data both locally from your device and from our Firebase servers.
While Cashova does not contain offensive or inappropriate material (resulting in an App Store age rating of 4+), the app is designed for managing real-world finances and is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
